The Ancient Well is now a key cultural relic protection site of Anhui Province, located in the Gujing winery of Gujing Town, Qiaocheng District, Bozhou. The famous liquor "Gujing Liquor" is blended with the water from the well.

There are two existing ancient wells today. One is in the southern courtyard of the winery, which dated back to the Song Dynasty; the other is in the northern courtyard of the winery, which was reconstructed in the Ming Dynasty. The water of both wells is sweet and clean, with a depth of six or seven meters all year round. They are indeed good wells rare to see across the nation.

Today a Gujing liquor culture museum has been built beside the ancient well in the southern courtyard, whose exhibition room is connected with the ancient well through a tunnel, so that the tourists can visit, appreciate and taste the sweet spring water of the well at the site. A "Gujing Pavilion" has been built on the ancient well in the northern courtyard, for which Mr. Zhao Puchu inscribed a plaque in person and Mr. Qi Gong, a famous calligrapher inscribed a couplet which goes "Good liquor spreads the reputation of Wei well for thousands of years, thick smell of liquor flies tens of thousands of miles away from the capital of Tang". A towering ancient locust tree standing beside the ancient well forms a delightful contrast with the well, which has become a trademark registered by Gujing Tribute Liquor.
