On June 1, Tuqiao Village, Xutuan Town, Mengcheng County began harvesting wheat, and a combine harvester shuttled back and forth in the golden wheat field, marking the official start of the afternoon harvest in Bozhou City.
Currently, the 6.621 million mu of wheat in Bozhou City has entered the mature harvesting period one after another. According to the Bozhou City Agriculture and Rural Bureau, during the "three months of summer" period, Bozhou City plans to deploy over 100,000 various types of machinery, including 23,000 combines, over 20,000 large tractors, and 58,000 other supporting implements. Following the principle of "harvesting one area as it ripens," Bozhou City will make reasonable use of the time difference in wheat maturity, establish a collaborative support mechanism among different regions, and systematically advance the wheat harvest work, striving to complete the wheat harvest task in the whole city within one week and ensure that every grain is stored.
"We have already assessed the situation in advance, made preparations for machinery configuration and scheduling, and introduced over 2,600 crawler combines from other regions. We have set up 11 service reception stations for cross-regional operations during the 'Three months of summer' period at the entrances and exits of expressways and main roads in the city. These stations provide order information and repair services to agricultural machinery operators from other regions," said Duan Duanqiang, Deputy Director of the Bozhou City Agricultural Machinery Development Center. Bozhou City has also formed 40 rapid response service teams and 60 agricultural machinery technical repair service teams. They have mobilized 456 wheat harvesters, which are centrally dispatched by the agricultural and rural departments to ensure that the machinery can be adjusted and used effectively during critical moments.
During the midday harvest period, the agricultural and rural departments will also organize agricultural machinery technicians, frontline agricultural machinery "self-taught experts," and technical service personnel from agricultural machinery manufacturers to go to the frontline, strengthen training for machinery operators, guide them in performing machinery inspection and maintenance, promptly identify potential agricultural machinery accidents, and provide technical guidance on agricultural machinery safety production to ensure that the machinery operates in the best condition.
