Recently, 172 online courses from 68 Chinese colleges and universities have been successfully launched on Indonesia’s National MOOC Platform, among which, Bozhou University’s Physical Education and Health (Wu Qin Xi) course was selected.
Physical Education and Health (Wu Qin Xi) is a special public compulsory course offered by Bozhou University to promote the national intangible cultural heritage—Hua Tuo’s Wu Qin Xi. It was established in September 2011, aiming to equip students with fundamental knowledge, basic techniques, essential skills, and scientific methods for exercising of Wu Qin Xi. The goal also includes improving students’ physical fitness and their ability to engage in scientific fitness and instructional teaching using Wu Qin Xi, keeping students psychologically healthy, edifying sentiment, enriching their campus cultural life, fostering a positive fitness atmosphere, and promoting healthy lifestyles among both students and faculty. Simultaneously, the course encourages students to popularize and promote Wu Qin Xi, so that more people become acquainted with, know, and develop an affinity for it, and improving society health through individual health.
