On the morning of September 9, 2023 International (Bozhou) Traditional Chinese Medicine Expo and the 39th National (Bozhou) Traditional Chinese Medicinal Materials Fair opened.
The expo, themed “Traditional Chinese Medicine, Enhancing Human Health” is jointly organized by the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the China National Food Industry Association, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, and the China Association of Health-Protection Food. Its goal is to provide a broad platform to gather wisdom from all directions, discuss the development of traditional Chinese medicine, and create a brighter future for it. We sincerely invite all leaders and distinguished guests to visit Bozhou, and show concern and support for it. We also eagerly anticipate business leaders to invest in Bozhou to promote its development.
Looking back, Bozhou, renowned as the “Hometown of Hua Tuo and Land of Medicinal Materials”, has gained recognition both domestically and internationally. It has developed into the world’s largest trading center and price-setting center for traditional Chinese medicinal materials. It is also the largest processing and supply base for Chinese Traditional Medication decoction pieces, extracts, and health drinks in China. Besides, Bozhou, with its millennium-old tradition in herbal medicine, is famously known as “No Bozhou, Not Complete; No Bozhou, Not Effective”. Looking ahead, Bozhou is poised for even greater success as the “World Capital of Medicine and Healthy Land”. The Bozhou Municipal Party Committee and Government unwaveringly committed to the strategy of “developing the city through traditional Chinese medicine”, preserving the essence of it and keeping innovation. Traditional Chinese medicine is prioritized as the foremost strategy of “Six-One Strategy” and serves as the city’s premier calling card. Bozhou is also dedicated to building itself as the global center of traditional Chinese medicine, the leading position of China’s traditional Chinese medicine industry, and the forefront of traditional Chinese medicine entering the international market. The development opportunities for traditional Chinese medicine are unprecedented, and the potential is limitless. There is much to be achieved and much to be done.
During the opening ceremony, Bozhou presented the “Hua Tuo Medical Family” plaque to the renowned Chinese medicine master Xu Jingshi, and held the inauguration ceremony for the “Yangtze River Delta Innovation Alliance of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry”. The Government signed strategic cooperation agreements with the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the RCEP Industrial Cooperation Committee, the China National Food Industry Association, and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products. They also announced the RCEP Bozhou Consensus of the National Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry and issued a project initial document of the group standard General rules for Prepared Dishes of Chinese Herbal Health Diet by the China Association of Health-Protection Food.
