In 2020, the total import and export volume of Bozhou City defied the gloomy data and hit a new time high.

In 2020, the total value of imports and exports in Bozhou City was 7.4 billion yuan, ranking the 12th in Anhui Province, an increase of 2.8% compared with 2019. Among them, exports were 6.4 billion yuan, which is a 10.7% increase whereas imports were 970 million yuan, a 30.1% decrease.
General trade grows rapidly and accounts for a large proportion of the total trade volume. Import and export from general trade was 6.36 billion yuan, an increase of 12.4%, accounting for 86% of Bozhou’s total foreign trade value. In the same period, the import and export of processing trade was 950 million yuan, went down by11.2%; the import and export of bonded logistics was 80 million yuan, went down by 82.2%.
The major trading markets have grown steadily. Imports and exports to ASEAN were 1.7 billion yuan, an increase of 48%, and imports to the EU (excluding the United Kingdom) were 700 million yuan, an increase of 13.8%. During the same period, the top three countries in terms of import and export trade value were South Korea, the United States, and India in order. The import and export volume were 770 million yuan, 710 million yuan, and 690 million yuan, respectively, increased by 34.4%, 39.7%, and 0.5%, altogether accounted for of 29.4% of total import and export value of Bozhou City.
The export volume of Chinese medicinal materials increased slightly. Bozhou’s export of Chinese medicinal materials was 640 million yuan, an increase of 1.3%, accounting for 75% of the total value of Chinese medicinal materials exported from Anhui Province.
