Three Communities (Villages) in Bozhou Named as “Demonstrative Communities for Comprehensive Disaster Reduction of China”

Recently, Dingqiao Village of Yanji Town and Daquan Village of Niuji Town in Qiaocheng District of Bozhou, and Fanli Community of Xiyang Town in Guoyang County have been named as demonstrative communities for comprehensive disaster reduction of China in 2020 by the National Committee for Disaster Reduction, the Ministry of Emergency Management, China Meteorological Administration and China Seismological Bureau.

In 2020, Bozhou carefully implemented the revised “Administrative Measures of China for the Establishment of Comprehensive Disaster Reduction Demonstrative Communities”, strictly observed the principles of “controlling the quantity, improving the quality, adopting dynamic management and supporting with incentives”, carefully organized and carried out the building of comprehensive disaster reduction demonstrative communities. Through methods like launching publicity and education activities on Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day online and offline, organizing emergency evacuation drills and holding special lectures, it has further enhanced the disaster prevention and reduction awareness of the urban and rural residents and the work performance of communities in this area.
