According to the customs statistics, the total imports and exports of traditional Chinese medicine in Bozhou reached 140 million yuan, a decrease of 0.2%. Among them, the exports totaled 120 million yuan with an increase of 2.8%, accounting for 74.2% of the total exports of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine patent preion in Anhui Province.
As COVID-19 continues to spread worldwide, an increasing amount of Bozhou traditional Chinese medicine has been exported to foreign countries and plays an active role in epidemic prevention and control. In terms of the export market, the top three export countries (regions) are South Korea, Vietnam and Taiwan, with exports of 70.588 million yuan, 19.896 million yuan and 14.265 million yuan. Exports to RCEP countries reached 100 million yuan, up 3.3% year on year. In terms of the export varieties, rehmannia glutinosa and radix glycyrrhizae were exported in large scale, with exports of 10.573 million yuan and 7.579 million yuan respectively while gastrodia elata exports totaled 3.1 million yuan, an increase of 308.2%.
