Early spring is a season when everything comes to life again. Recently, dozens of waterfowl play freely in the waters of the North Fei River National Wetland Park in Mengcheng County, Bozhou City, sometimes fluttering and flying, sometimes swimming on the surface, and sometimes diving for food, as if they are welcoming spring. A total of 500 to 800 waterfowl, which are reported to be coots, live and breed in the park all year round.
In recent years, Bozhou City has stepped up its efforts to protect and restore the wetland and has significantly improved the ecological environment, thus making the wetland an important habitat for many geese, ducks and waterfowl to rest as well as an important resting place for migratory birds such as Baer’s pochard to have a rest and store energy.
