Bozhou Beiguan Historic Block is rated as national tourism and leisure block

Yesterday, the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Tourism posted the bulletin for the second batch of national tourism and leisure blocks, and the Bozhou Belgian Historic Block was on the list. Located in the northwest of Bozhou City and adjacent to Guo River, Bozhou Beiguan Historic Block is the center of famous historical and cultural city, Bozhou. With concentrated groups of traditional buildings, it is the symbol of Central Plain Culture and the landmark of tourism and is acclaimed as “Living fossil of blocks in Ming and Qing dynasties of China” and “China Trade Hall Museum”. The overall pattern of Bozhou Beiguan Historic Block is complete with concentrated groups of traditional buildings, and it is rare that there are many immovable cultural relics and traditional buildings compared to the blocks of same size at home. With rich cultural background, the traditional buildings of the block are characterized by the integration of north and south cultures. The architectural style is elegant and unique, with ancient streets and alleys crisscrossing, ancient shops, ancient guild halls and ancient banks filled among them. The main structure of the buildings is bricks and wood structure with 1-3 stories. The structure of shops is distinctive with front part for sale and the back part for production. There are more than 50 ancient guild halls and ancient banks with Shanshan Guild Hall and Nanjing Alley Bank as representation and 115 existing cultural relics and historic sites. Among them, there are 3 national key cultural relics protection units, Gorgeous Dramatic Stage, Nanjing Alley Bank and Underground Troop Transport Tunnel, 15 relics of celebrities such as Lao Tzu, Cao Cao and Hua Tuo, 5 Chinese time-honored brands. The national intangible cultural heritage, such as Two Clamp String, Five-Animal Exercises and Xiyang Palm, has been passing down from generation to generation for thousand years.
