Diverting Water from the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River to Benefit the People

Recently, aerial photography was used to capture the Longde Pumping Station in Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City, which is the final stage of pumping stations of the Water Diversion Project from the Yangtze River to the Huaihe River in Anhui Province. Since its operation in the first half of 2020, the Longde Pumping Station has supplied 144 million cubic meters of surface water to the urban area of Bozhou through the Chengnan Storage Reservoir, alleviating the water shortage that has plagued the citizens for many years, and enabling the people of Bozhou to make a leap from “scarcity of water” to “adequacy of water”.
