Achievements of Antiquated Housing Estates Renovation in Bozhou Ranks Among the Best in Anhui Province

In 2021, a total of 61 antiquated housing estates in Bozhou are planned to be renovated with a total area of about 900 thousand square meters. So far, the renovation has been under full operation and 93% of the whole renovation area in plan has been renovated, the progress of which ranks first in Anhui province. The renovation project of Guoyang County, Mengcheng County and Lixin County will be completed by the end of November, and that of Qiaocheng District will be completed in the middle of December.
From 2016 to 2020, Bozhou has invested an accumulated number of 280 million yuan to complete the renovation task of 86 antiquated estates with a total area of 3.9845 million square meters, benefiting 34829 residential families. In Jan. 2021, commissioned by the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics, the Anhui Provincial Survey Organization carried out a random survey of the actual achievements of and the residents’ satisfaction level towards the antiquated housing estates renovation in the whole province. The survey report shown that the renovation of antiquated housing estates in all local areas had achieved an overall good effect, and Hefei, Chuzhou and Bozhou ranked top 3 in regard to the local residents’ satisfaction level towards renovation. The antiquated housing estates renovation in Bozhou was tied for third place with Chuzhou in the evaluation of people's livelihood in Anhui province in 2020, which was the highest achievement in its history.
During the 14th Five-year Plan, combining the urban renewal initiative, Bozhou plans to invest approximate 2 billion yuan to complete the comprehensive renovation of the 234 antiquated housing estates, supporting infrastructure outside the red line of communities and public service facilities in the city, with a total architecture renovation area of 6.1406 million square meters, benefiting 42388 residential families. Currently, the preliminary work of renovation plan for 2022 of the 91 antiquated housing estates has been carried out orderly in advance.
